Register for PVG
To apply for PVG please register with us; however, we need a formal agreement to act on your behalf. You will need to read the Code of Practice and accept this as part of the Alba Childcare Agency contract terms along with the secure handling of disclosure information and the recruitment of ex-offenders.
Disclosure Scotland have changed the process for PVG applications, the applicant now completes it online. Once we have received your registration, we will email you a PVG form to complete and return to ourselves along with any 3 of the following forms of Identification:
- Driving licence
- Passport
- Birth certificate
- Utility bill
- Bank statement
These must be countersigned by an independent person to verify identity.
Payment
We cannot process your application until we have received payment as follows:
- New Applications - required for all new applicants joining the scheme – payment is: £74.00
- Existing Scheme Record – required for existing PVG members applying to work with a new vulnerable group – Payment is: £74.00
- Scheme Record Update – required for existing PVG members changing employer, or for employers requesting a record update – Payment is: £33.00
Payment can be made by Bank Transfer direct into Account - Sort Code : 807331
Once we have received all the details we require, we will start the Online application and Disclosure Scotland will process. The applicant will then be sent an email from Disclosure Scotland to process their PVG online, they will have 7 days to complete.
As soon as we have received the PVG Scheme Record Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland we will forward it on to you. As part of the terms of our agreement, you are expected to adhere to our policy relating to the secure handling of disclosure information.
